The Bionic Hand of 2011

A man from Austria elected to have his hand amputated in favour of a robotic prosthetic that communicates with nerves in his arm. While an improvement over old prostheses, the bionic hand still can’t match the real thing in terms of fluidity of movement or sensory feedback. This, however, seems only a matter of time.
